ServSafe Certified Food Protection Manager Courses & Exams 

EFFECTIVE September 1, 2012 – All full time managers or other employees responsible for operation of an establishment must have, within the last 5 years, successfully passed an approved ANSI Food Service Sanitation Program Exam such as ServSafe.  Permitted Food Service Establishments that do not meet the training requirement would incur a two-point deduction on their sanitation inspection starting January 1, 2014.  A credit of 2 points will no longer be given to establishments who have employees who have taken ServSafe.

Why ServSafe Food Safety?

ServSafe is a Food Safety Certification Course developed by the Educational Foundation of the National Restaurant   Association. This course is approved by the state to meet the requirements of NC Food Code 2-102.12 Certified Food Protection Manager. Certification depends on successfully passing the exam.

Who Should attend?

This is a comprehensive program for managers and supervisory staff who work in food service establishments.
